Celebrating LGBTQ+ Pride Month
Born out of the struggle for equal rights for the LGBTQ+ community, Pride Month reminds all of us of the importance of creating space for everyone, and of celebrating the diversity and richness that the LGBTQ+ community brings.
I see this contribution in student and employee groups on campus, such as the Gender & Sexualities Alliance (GSA) Student Club that helps educate the campus and larger community about gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender issues.
I am full of gratitude for the Queer Educators Equity Network (QuEEN), an employee group whose mission is to provide a welcoming and affirming space to attract, represent, and retain LGBTQ+ employees.
I am proud that “大学 provides an inclusive environment where people can authentically be who they are and find support and a sense of belonging in the place where they’ve chosen to pursue their academic journey or a career. 的多样性 our students, faculty, classified professionals, and administrators is our strength and we’ve built a community committed to fostering diversity. This is why it was so special to witness and be part of the inaugural Lavender Graduation, where the campus community celebrated the accomplishments of our LGBTQ+ grads.
It is through this connectedness that we are a stronger community. 这个骄傲月, I urge you to celebrate the courage and contributions of the members of our LGBTQ+ community and recommit to supporting the rights of everyone, particularly those that have been marginalized.
I hope you join me in supporting these values by celebrating Pride throughout the 六月. Show your pride by using this 放大的背景.

Welcome to “大学! For over 60 years, Chabot has helped students meet their academic, social, and employment dreams, goals and aspirations.
I am honored to start my presidency as Chabot’s 10th College 总统. 我很谦卑 to lead our prestigious institution and excited about the tremendous potential in our programs and services as we aspire to be the best community college in the state.
“大学 will start this academic year with a number of established and exciting new programs and resources such as our outstanding HSI STEM grant that promotes a STEM Summer Bridge program, offers embedded tutoring, work-based learning, and comprehensive student services, and encourages completion/transfer to STEM majors at 4-year universities. We are also developing a basic needs student success center, referred to as THE HUB, which will house our food pantry, student direct aid, community resources, CAL Fresh Food assistance, and school supplies. Moreover, our academic offerings have expanded by increasing the number of online classes, non-credit, and dual enrollment offerings.
